The Prime Minister has assured to extend the support of the Federal Government to South Asia Media Summit being held on January 15-17, 2013 at Islamabad, stated a press release of the APNS.

Masood Hamid, Secretary General, APNS has stated that the Executive Committee of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society led by the President, Sarmad Ali, met Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and apprised him on the scope, nature and importance of South Asia Media Summit being organised by the APNS at Islamabad. The President, APNS requested the support of Federal Government for holding the mega event.

The Prime Minister very kindly appreciated the efforts of the APNS to bring the media of the region closure and arrange a Summit at Islamabad. He agreed to be the chief guest at one of the sessions of the Summit and announced that the Federal Government will also provide financial support of Rs 10 millions for arranging the Summit.-PR
